The trend toward environmental consciousness continues, even in contemporary Italian kitchens, thanks to design firms like Arclinea San Diego, which recently announced its newest ecological practice: using a water-based finishing system for its kitchen cabinets. This new method joins Arclinea’s other eco-friendly techniques, which include the use of ecological panels constructed of 100 percent recycled and regenerated wood, as well as other recycled and recyclable materials, including aluminum, stainless steel and glass.
“Considering that the kitchen is the heart of the home, both philosophically and practically, it is increasingly important that this living space be a healthy, ecologically intelligent one,” says Lisa Wilson-Wirth, president and owner of Arclinea San Diego. “Arclinea kitchens reflect a spirit of design that respects our living earth and the people who inhabit it. Our company continues to lead the kitchen industry with its commitment to environmentally friendly materials and green manufacturing strategies.”
