MEDITERRANEAN MASTER
This Arclinea kitchen design accommodates the culinary needs of the most dedicated chef within a contemporary design both elegant and luxurious. Great consideration was given to the home’s existing architecture throughout the remodel. The Clients sought a minimal, sleek design that would complement the spare elegance and natural beauty of the 15th Century Spanish villa.
Maximizing the space-function relationship, the 18’ “All-in-One” Island is a refined extension of the home, accommodating multiple cooks and multiple functions, with every critical function housed in a single dynamic unit. The layout is designed to allow comfortable movement from storage to preparation, cooking to cleaning. The material chosen — Arclinea’s “Tampico” stainless steel — enhances the natural lightness of the space.
The kitchen is planned as open living space—an organized area where solutions are the outcome of their location. Food preparation and cooking takes place, in concert with the ritual of dining and entertaining. The hub of this contemporary concept for living is the working kitchen, with doors that open directly to the outdoors, for year-round dining and entertaining — and a layout that flows seamlessly into the adjacent dining room.
All the functions are purposefully designed at waist-height or below. Beneath the 8” deep stainless steel countertop, the Clients are provided with ample storage and point-of-use functionality. 36” fully extendable deep stainless steel drawers are outfitted with organizers for flatware and dishes, providing easy access to the adjacent dining areas.
The countertop features an integrated anti-drip edge around its perimeter, along with a welded stainless steel sink and 5-burner cooktop. The seamless surface is hygienic, easy to clean and resolutely professional.
Downdraft extraction allows the kitchen to retain professional functionality without sacrificing the inherent livability of the home. With high power, low noise and a sleek profile, the kitchen retains the elegance of a living room — a room to look at, use and inhabit.
